SHARON LORAINE SMITH March 20, 1947 - March 11, 2004 It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend Sharon Loraine Smith. Mom will be deeply missed by her son Ron (Christine), grandchildren, Olivia and Sammy; daughter Laura Smith, grandchildren, Sasha and Jordan; and Moms best friend Shirley Hain. Mom was born and raised in Thunder Bay, ON. In 1972, with two small children in tow, Mom left Thunder Bay and moved to Winnipeg, settling in St. Vital. In 1973, Mom found employment as an order desk clerk at Midas Canada Inc. Mom remained at Midas for the next 18 years, achieving the title of warehouse manager. Mom remained as the warehouse manager for 10 years until the Winnipeg warehouse was closed. Mom was proud of the fact that she was the only woman warehouse manager, for Midas, in all of Canada. After the closing of the Midas warehouse, Mom continued to remain employed in a variety of jobs. In 1997, Mom began work at the Faneuil Group where she remained until her passing. Mom loved her grandchildren, gardening, crossword puzzles and her three precious cats. "A Mom is... Someone who loves you, Someone who cares, Someone who listens, Someone who shares." Mom, you are loved and will be missed more than you will ever know. Cremation has already taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 18 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Flowers are gratefully declined. If desired, a donation can be made in Moms memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society. THOMSON Funeral Chapels - 669 Broadway - 783-7211
