MARGARET BENTLEY Peacefully on March 10, 2004 at the age of 89, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Margaret Bentley passed over to be reunited with her beloved husband Earl who was killed in January of 1945 during the Second World War. Born in Toronto, ON on June 11, 1914, Margaret is survived by her son Paul (Madalyn) of Calgary, and her daughter Dianne McCall of Winnipeg. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, Toni, Chris, Laura, Dave and Matthew; as well as six great-grandchildren, Liam, Brendan, Holly, Avery, Caelan and Reiley. She is also survived by her sister Audrine and many nieces and nephews in different areas of the country. During her life, Margs great passion was her art. When she was painting, she always referred to herself as "Margo" which is a name that stuck throughout her life with family and friends. She worked for the RCMP in Toronto for 25 years until her retirement. She was a longtime member of the Catholic Womens League and the Ontario Federation of Naturalists, combining her love of art with the outdoors on many field trips throughout Ontario. Marg moved to Winnipeg in 1996 to be closer to her family. During the final years of her life she developed Alzheimers Disease and moved into Extendicare Tuxedo Villa in June 1999. Margs family cannot say enough about the high quality care and compassion she received while there, and would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in her care, especially the staff on Station 1. A gathering for family and friends to celebrate Margs life will be held at Extendicare Tuxedo Villa, 2060 Corydon Ave. on Thursday, March 18 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. If desired, donations may be made in Margs memory to Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3P 0N3. Interment will be at Assumption Cemetery. BARDAL FUNERAL HOME 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474 Condolences: www.bardalfuneralhome.com
