AMY ELIZABETH NICHOLSON Peacefully on March 14, 2004 our dear "Nan" passed away at the Victoria Hospital. She is survived by her son-in-law Glenn (Nardene) Glenns son, Michael and daughter Joanna; daughter-in-law Joan; grandsons, James, Scott (Sandra), and Chris (Shelley) granddaughter Joelle (Ken) and great-grandchildren, Laurie, Ryan, Keegan and Chloe. Amy was born in London, England in 1906, and came to Canada as a young girl. She and her parents, three brothers, Harry, Bill and John and her sister Kitty settled in Edmonton, where she later met and married her husband Bill Nicholson. They moved to Winnipeg in the late 1920s and lived in St. Vital. Amy lived the last 22 years in Kenbur Gardens and made many good friends there. Amy was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1956; her daughter Carol in 1972; and her son Bill in 2003. Amy loved spending time with family and friends. She worked as a secretary for many years. She retired from work when her daughter passed away leaving two small children. Amy lovingly took over helping Glenn raise the boys. Our Nan was a kind and caring person, we loved her dearly, and will miss her always. The family would like to thank the nursing staff on the fifth floor of the Victoria Hospital for their wonderful care. We would also like to express our gratitude to the staff at Rosewood Village, in particular unit 12 Fernwood. A service of remembrance will take place on Monday, March 22 at 11:00 a.m. in the Garry Memorial Funeral Home.
