MARTHA SCHELLENBERG On March 14, 2004, after a lengthy battle with cancer, Martha went to be with her Lord. Despite many difficulties, the last five months she remained cheerful and true to her character, loving and supportive to those around her. Martha will live fondly in the memory of Dave, her husband of 53 years; her children, Judy Summers (Rick) Jenny Davis (Randy) Murray Schellenberg (Beth) Darryl Schellenberg (Tanya) four grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Also, one brother Harry Peters (Louise) in-laws, Anne Hildebrand (George) John Schellenberg (Janice) Jake Schellenberg (Elona) Erna McIvor (Ken) Ruth Wiebe (Tony) Betty Kleppe (Karl) John Klassen (Norma) Hedy Peters (Ike) Irene Peters; Anna Toews. Martha will also be sadly missed by her close friend Ruth Penner. Martha was born on October 7, 1930 and grew up on a farm near Ile des Chenes. She married Dave Schellenberg in 1950. She worked for T Eaton Co. in sales for 20 years until her early retirement. She enjoyed serving in church functions with Ladies Mission Fellowship. Martha had touched each of us with her everlasting faith in our Lord Jesus Christ our Savior. Funeral service will be held on Thursday March 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Mennonite Brethren Church, 1420 Portage Ave. with viewing prior to service. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. Pallbearers are George Hildebrand, John Schellenberg, Jake Schellenberg, Karl Kleppe, Tony Wiebe and Ken McIver. In lieu of flowers, should friends so desire, donations may be made to The Gideons PO Box 3619 Stn Main; Guelph, ON N1H 9Z9, or a charity of ones choice. Thank you to the staff of Health Science Centre and Palliative Care Unit at Riverview Health Centre.
