Keith will be forever in the hearts of his family, his wife Verna of 45 years; his children, Jim (Annette), Suzanne (Dean Meyers), Shirley (Marvin Retzlaff), Tim (Cindy) his grandchildren, Jimmy and Charleen Campbell, Grant, Derek and Haley Meyers, Arran and Mikaela Retzlaff, Colin, Ryan and Amy Campbell; and his brother Ken Campbell. Also left to mourn his loss are numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his infant son; his parents, George and Bertha Campbell; his sister Doreen Pratt; and his brother Donald Campbell. Keith was born in Winnipeg, married Verna Jaremowich in 1958 and moved to the Stonewall area. He always had a love for country life where he could raise animals and collect/restore antique tractors. Keith joined the Winnipeg Fire Department in 1958 and proudly wore the uniform for 33 years, retiring at the rank of Captain. His strength of character earned him the respect of his crews, creating many lifelong friendships. Keith loved to spend time at the cabin, a love he shared so generously with his family and friends. Keith had a passion for life, an easy going attitude and a remarkable sense of humour that touched the lives of all those who had the privilege of knowing him. The family would like to thank the many relatives and friends for their prayers and support. We would also like to thank the staff at Health Sciences Centre D3, A3 and HH4, CancerCare Manitoba, and Stonewall and District Health Centre for their special care. Memorial service will be held on Monday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, Rm. 1160, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
