Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID ARMSTONG LEMON Ph.D. David Armstrong Lemon, son of Edward and Jocelyn, brother of Ted, Peter (Linda), Nancy (Ken Crozier), beloved uncle of Alison, Leslie, Laura, Iain and Scott passed away suddenly on March 16, 2004 at the age of 57 years in Victoria, BC. David was born and raised in Winnipeg. He earned his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Manitoba and a Ph.D. in philosophy from Queens University. It was there that he was hit by the travelling bug and never looked back. He went to Cambridge, England to study and do research on his favourite philosopher Camus. Although philosophy remained a big part of his life, he made the logical choice to make a career in computer consulting. He moved to Toronto to work for Kimberley-Clark Corporation. He subsequently worked for Heinz Foods and CIBC in Toronto before following the lure of the mountains and taking a job with the Government of British Columbia in Vancouver. He eventually moved to Victoria with a view of the mountains out his window. Throughout his life he travelled the world. From Egypt to the Amazon, from Thailand and Bali to the Caribbean, he had many great adventures. He also enjoyed Manitoba summers with his family at the Whytewold cottage. He never missed a Christmas in Winnipeg, entertaining his nieces and nephews during the holiday season. He was very proud of them and all their accomplishments. Although his life was too short, it was filled with happiness and exciting experiences. David will be sadly missed. A service of remembrance will be held at St. Lukes Anglican Church, Stradbrook at Nassau, on Tuesday, March 23 at 2:00 p.m. THOMSON Funeral Chapels - 669 Broadway - 783-7211
