LEVI SIMEON BLAGDON Peacefully, with his loving family at his side, Levi passed away at the Riverview Personal Care Centre on March 18, 2004 at the age of 77. Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughters and son-in-law, Paula and Gordon Bonham and Gail (Blagdon), grandchildren, Shaun, Katelyn, Arielle and Jordon. He is also survived by his brothers, Abner (Joe) and Bill; as well as numerous family members and friends. Levi was predeceased by his loving wife Pauline who passed away in 1987; and by both his parents, Charles and Theresa. Levi was born in Blanchette, NF and growing up he was always drawn to the sea. He served in the Merchant Marines and afterwards his civilian occupation (mechanical engineer) always led him back to the water even when spending most of his adult life in Manitoba. He was proud of his military heritage and was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion right up until his battle with cancer began. Levi managed his journey with cancer with a grace, peace and sense of humour that brought comfort to all who knew him. He was greatly admired for his strength and optimism. A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 21 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow in Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley St. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Riverview for their wonderful care.
