FRIEDA DIRKS On Thursday, March 18, 2004 at the Carman Memorial Hospital in Carman, MB, Frieda Dirks of Carman, formerly of Elm Creek and Winnipeg passed away at the age of 78 years. Left to cherish her memory are her siblings, Sophie Thiessen, Walter (Susan) Dirks, Ed (Hanna) Dirks, Clara Hamm, William (Mary) Dirks and Henry Dirks. Also 26 nieces and nephews, 32 great-nieces and nephews and many great-great-nieces and nephews. Frieda was predeceased by her parents, Abraham and Anna Dirks; sister Mary; and two brothers-in-law, Martin Thiessen and Dick Hamm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Doyles Funeral Chapel in Carman with Pastor Bob Pauls officiating. Viewing will be on Sunday 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. and prior to the service. Interment in the Wingham Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Boyne Lodge, Box 1644, Carman, MB R0G 0J0.
