Helen is survived by her son Steven (Marion) grandsons, Trevor (Precious) and David all of Winnipeg; as well as her daughter and best friend Margaret (Peter) Doucette of Clandeboye. She is also survived by her sisters, Margaret Hoover, Mary (Evan) Goranson of Weyburn, SK and Barbara (Wes) Sloman of Swift Current, SK, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Stephen in 1990 and her sister Elizabeth in 2000. Our Mom was born in Hungary on January 1, 1922. The family immigrated to Canada in 1933 where they joined her father in Weyburn, SK. Upon marrying our Dad, she moved to Winnipeg. Mom will be remembered for her great cooking and also her intricate handiwork of crocheting, knitting, needlepoint and sewing. She loved the outdoors in summer and travelling - taking her big trips and small. The family would like to thank the staff of Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg where she resided for too short a time. Also the Seven Oaks General Hospital Emergency staff. Funeral service 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 26 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St. Private interment at Brookside Cemetery will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of ones choice in memory of our Mom. Deep in my heart The whole year through, Is ever a thought, Mother dear, of You.
