ANNETTE PATRICIA POVEY The family of Annette Patricia Povey (Pat) sorrowfully announces her passing at Seven Oaks General Hospital after a brief illness on Thursday March 18, 2004. She was predeceased by her husband Leslie in 2002 and leaves to mourn her passing three sons, Ronald (Evelyn), Gregory (Rose Marie) and Nolan; grandchildren, Jana Leigh, Daralyn, Mathew, Danielle, and Leslie Anne; a sister Francis; dear nieces and nephews and many friends. She was born June 18, 1920 to John and Blanche Sturk and resided her entire life in Winnipeg. She worked at MacDonald Aircraft during the Second World War and met her future husband, Les while both worked at Eatons. She left the workforce to raise her three sons but returned to Eatons patterns after her boys had grown. She was a longtime and faithful member of the Shaughnessy United Church and an avid bowler at the Billy Mosienko Lanes. Recently, she enjoyed her Mondays at the Fred Douglas Lodge, making many new friends there. The family especially would like to thank Pats dear neighbours Betty Fisher, Jarvis Gorman and Doreen Brown for their love and support to Pat since Leslies death.
