MARY "BABA" ROGOSKI (nee ZDRILL) Peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Mary passed away on Friday, March 19, 2004 at the age of 91 years. Mary was predeceased by her husband Joseph; sisters, Helen, Rose, Stella; and brother Walter. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Ed (Helen), and Norm; grandchildren Jim (June), Debra (Gary) Baker, Linda, Wendy (Jim) Swiss, and Julye; great-grandchildren, Brett and Marlee Swiss, Chris, Robert, James and Steven Rogoski, and Erik and Tom Baker. She is also lovingly remembered by Cassie. She is also survived by her sisters, Carrie and Nellie (Stanley) sister-in-law Stella; brother-in-law Harry; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Mary was a very generous and giving person, always thinking of others first, and herself last. Her family meant everything to her. She was famous for making her special chocolate chip cookies and perogies for all to enjoy. Her greatest passions were gardening, bingo, and going out for pancake breakfasts. Not a summer went by without her family enjoying her many fresh vegetables from her garden, especially her tomatoes and cucumbers. Mary was a woman of great strength and independence. Special thank you to Dr. Crow and staff of Concordia Hospital for taking such good care of Baba. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 23 at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., with viewing prior. Interment in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marys memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2, or to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3G 9Z9.
