CLARA ROSALINE BROWN On March 21, 2004 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Clara Brown aged 70 years of Selkirk, MB. Clara is survived by her husband Wilfred; daughters, Corrine (Dan), Heather (Doug), Faith (Kevin), Brenda (George) and June; son Wilfred (Angie) sisters, Delores Hendrickson and brother Lloyd Dennett (Alice) 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Lucy Dennett; brothers, Hayden and William; sister Jessie Langlois and granddaughter Jenine. Clara was born on August 6, 1933 in Libau and was raised there. She met Wilfred in Winnipeg in 1957 and moved to Edmonton in 1959. In 1967 they moved back to Manitoba. She loved to play bingo and yatzee and spent many hours volunteering at the Selkirk Friendship Center, in particular baking bannock for the Young Minds Group. Clara was a terrific cook and bannock maker, and she really looked forward to holiday dinners at her house with all the family. Clara had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. A private memorial service was held on Monday, March 22 at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Young Minds, 218 Manitoba Ave., Selkirk. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Selkirk & District General Hospital for all their excellent care. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
