DORA ADELL STOLAR (CRAIG) (CATAFORD) October 16, 1931 - March 19, 2004 After a long, exhausting, painful and courageous battle with Leukemia and Cancer it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dora (her daughter was with her to help her take this last leg of her journey which was so important to her) at the Teulon Hospital on March 19, 2004. Dora is survived by her devoted husband Philip Stolar, children, Diane (Allan) Bazilewich, Donald (Elaine and Denise) Cataford, Dale (Doreen and Darren) Cataford; and their father Ivan Cataford. Dora was predeceased by her mother Dolly, sister Marguerite and her father Donald. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Interment to be at a later date. The family would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone in the Interlake Palliative Care Program who made it possible to keep Dora at home as long as possible. Also a special thanks to Dr. McTaggert and all the very compassionate and caring nurses at Teulon hospital for making a difficult time and transition smoother and dignified. You all held a special place in Doras heart and soul. Doras children would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Philip for being able to open his heart and his home so that Dora was able to spend her time at home as long as she did. They would also like to thank Ivan for providing the wisdom and guidance and compassion to them that was needed during this last year. Thanks Dad, you have been our rock. Also a heartfelt thank you to Sally (Gordon) Lehman who was always there no matter what was needed. You are true family. Rest now Mom, you are finally free of pain. We love you dearly and will miss you terribly. You will be in our hearts and prayers daily. Forever yours - Your loving family. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
