Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE GIRTLE (DOCTOROFF) September 12, 1907 - March 22, 2004. We are deeply saddened by the passing of Auntie Rose, who passed away peacefully on March 22, at the Sharon Home. Rose was predeceased by her loving husband Al; brothers, Sam, Joe, Mickey, Sid, and sisters, Kay Sorokin, Minnie Leventhal and Lily Shiffman. Rose will be dearly missed by her sister Anne Maister; sisters-in-law, Marion Doctoroff, Clara Doctoroff, Anne Doctoroff and Edith Doctoroff; and niece Michele Doctoroff and her husband Ted Switzer and daughter Sydney Switzer. Many other nieces, nephews and friends will also miss Auntie Roses spirit and love, and treasure her memories. Rose was born September 12, 1907, in West Kildonan, MB, and was the beloved wife of Al with whom she shared 47 years. She was a valued and diligent employee of Moores Business Forms for 32 years, where she was remembered as being a very fair and hard working supervisor. Her time, energy and devotion as a life member of the Queen Esther Chapter of Hadassah was valued as we remember her work for the bazaars in making soup and crocheting toy clowns, and her role as treasurer. We all cherish the memories of celebrations and holidays in her home enjoying all her wonderful baked goods and cooking. We would like to thank all the staff at the Sharon Home, and especially Precy Merluza, for their expertise, compassion and understanding. Graveside services will be held at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery, 230 Armstrong, Wednesday, March 24, 11:00 a.m. Donations may be made in Roses memory to the Sharon Home.
