JOYCE YOUNG (nee McELMOYLE) October 1915 - March, 2004 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Joyce Young, on March 19, 2004, in Edmonton, with family at her side. She is survived by her loving children, son Brent (Vicki) and daughter Janice (Ken) Smith; her grandchildren, Scott, Kelly, Kerry and Tracy. Joyce was predeceased by her son Terry in 1977 and her husband Douglas of 56 years in 1999. Joyce had many friends across Canada, as she lived in Montreal, Winnipeg, Sydney and Edmonton. She will be sadly missed, as she was a wonderful mother, friend and active volunteer in her community and church. A memorial service will be held in her honour on March 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Southminister - Steinhauer United Church, 10740 - 19 Avenue, Edmonton, AB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joyces memory to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 11560 University Ave., Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 10985 - 124 Street NW, Edmonton, AB T5M 0H9.
