CRYSTAL HAY Crystal Hay, 88, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on March 21, 2004. A mother of two daughters and four sons, she had 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Crystals first daughter predeceased her at birth, and husband, Frances William, in 1963. Crystal had a very strong faith which gave her strength, comfort and the resolve to overcome adversity. She helped others in ways that provided encouragement to all around her, including her family. As an active member of Grant Memorial Baptist Church, she was involved in many ways, including singing with the Golden Echoes. She travelled to Panama to assist in mission support work for the underprivileged. Crystal was a true people-person who loved to help others and, at mid-life, became a licensed practical nurse. She gave freely of herself as a youth camp nurse and cook. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren received her unconditional love and life long memories. Her acts of faith and love towards family, friends and those in her community was evident to all. For those who wish to mourn and say good-bye to Crystal, viewing will be held at Neil Bardal Inc. at 984 Portage Ave., Aubrey Street entrance on Thursday, March 25 between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Crystals family wishes also, to extend an invitation to those who knew her and wish to remember and celebrate her life, to join them at Grant Memorial Baptist Church, 877 Wilkes Ave. on Saturday, March 27 at 10:00 a.m. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
