EVELYN GREGORY January 26, 1921 - March 22, 2004 Passed peacefully at Concordia Place. Evelyn is survived by children, Steve (Debbie), Gail Crump and Janice Barnes; grandchildren, Gerri, Darren, Dory, Tanis, Erin, Kala and Bryan; great-grandchildren, Sidney, Thomas and Alexander; brother Frank Foss (Yvonne) and many in-Laws. Predeceased by husband Fred (1975) parents, Adolf and Dagmar Foss; brother Ivan Foss (2003) sons-in-law, Charlie Crump (2001) and Don Barnes (2001). Mom was born in Camper, MB and moved to Winnipeg residing in West Kildonan, Kirkfield Park, Morse Place and Elmwood. She was employed as a seamstress at Eatons, JL Morton, Richlu Sportswear, GWG and Shanter Sportswear. Known as "Ma" by most, her favourite pastimes were playing Bingo, cards and slots before her stroke in 1997. She also enjoyed baking and sewing for family and friends. Evelyn lived at Concordia Place where she was called a favourite resident by many of the Nurses and Aides. She loved visits from animal friends and kept dog cookies on hand for those visits. A special thanks to the staff at Concordia Place for their care during her final days. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of your choice. Funeral Service will be held at Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave. on March 26 at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain John Friesen presiding.
