JOSEPH GEORGE HOUSTON November 14, 1921 - March 26, 2004 It is with great sadness and sorrow that the family announces the passing of their beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Joseph Houston, on March 26, 2004. He leaves to cherish his many memories, his wife of 58 years, Lucy; his two sons, Joseph (Ginette), Donald (Lori) two daughters, Dianne (Rick), Linda (Al) his grandchildren, Melanie (Archie), Richard (Carla), Pamela, Jean-Michel, James, Pascal, Robert, Michael, Matthew; and his great-granddaughter, Rheanne; sister Francis; as well as many other family members. Joseph served his country in the Second World War, while stationed in Nova Scotia he met his wife. After discharge, together they returned to Manitoba to raise their family. Joseph enjoyed baseball, darts, playing cards, fishing and his beloved pets. Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 31 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with Rev. Fr. Ray Baudry celebrant. Interment will follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens with a gathering of family and friends in the Glen Lawn Reception Centre. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Concordia Hospital for their kind support and care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Josephs memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd.
