MORLAND JAMES DOWHAN Morland Dowhan passed away peacefully on March 23, 2004 at St. Boniface Hospital after a brief illness. He was predeceased by his brother Walter (1931) his mother Melanie (1942) his father James (1966) and his beloved wife Alison (1992). Morland is survived by his sister, Marci (John) Medock (Winnipeg) his nephew Robert (Annette) Park; his great-nephews, Matthew, Ben and David Park; and great-niece Michael Park (all of Surrey, BC). Morland was born in Winnipeg on February 19, 1920. He was employed by Canada Packers for 43 years. Morland was an avid sports fan and a supporter of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. He was the clubs first statistician and historian and served in that role for 25 years. Morland led an active life and had many interests including coin and stamp collecting, crossword puzzles and making small gifts for his many friends. For several years he organized the Canada Packers Employee Quarter Century Club events. Morlands generous spirit and unassuming manner will be missed by everyone who knew him. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Sincere thanks for the caring attention by the staff of St. Boniface Hospital and the staff and friends at Lindenwood Manor.
