TENA SIEMENS January 17, 1914 - March 24, 2004 It is with great sadness that the family announce Tenas sudden passing at Deer Lodge Centre. Tena was predeceased by her parents, John and Katherine Siemens; sister Sarah Fehr; and brothers, John and Erdman Siemens. Tena will be missed by sisters, Helen Werner and Edna Siemens; and nephews, and nieces and their families - Donald Fehr (Patricia), June Braun (Albert), Jim Werner (Janet) and Ken Werner (Diana). Tena was born in Rosenfeld, MB and attended elementary school in Rosenfeld and Morden, MB. She was a grade 12 graduate of Morden Collegiate. After graduating from Normal School and teaching for a few years, and receiving training in social work at the University of Manitoba, she worked as a social worker until her retirement 1979, at the Childrens Aid Society, Family Bureau and Society for Manitobans with Disabilities. She became senior supervisor of the Childrens Program in the latter where she was an active participant in the Canadian Hemophilia Society Manitoba Chapter. She has given outstanding service to Sherwood Park Church of God through the years in various capacities. She was a long-standing member of the Business and Professional Womens organization. Tena will be remembered for her interest in people and their potential, and her caring support to others in the family, at work and in the church. Family get-togethers, especially birthdays, were very important to her. She never failed to involve herself and give of herself heartily when she felt she could make a difference. Illness or stormy weather rarely kept her away from carrying out her commitments. Tenas Motto: I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. - (Phil. 4:13) Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 29 at 12:00 noon at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway with Pastor Kevin Snyder officiating. Interment will be in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be held on Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Hemophilia Society Manitoba Chapter Research Fund, 932 Erin St., Sherwood Park Church of God Building Fund or a charity of choice.
