Date of Passing: Mar 26, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryKATHERINE PAULINE (KAY) BALL It is with sorrow at her passing, and rejoicing at a life well lived, that we say goodbye. With her children at her side, Kay passed away peacefully on Friday, March 26, 2004. She died the way she lived, with grace, strength and great beauty. Kay was the daughter of Pauline and Philip Konzelman. She celebrated her 95th birthday on February 23, 2004. She was predeceased by her parents as well as her sisters and brothers, Phil, Bill, Lee and Brownie. Kays life will be celebrated by her immediate family, her beloved daughter Deloris and son-in-law Clarence (Babe) Ankrom; grandchildren, Doug and Kathy Ankrom, Marlene and David Keys; great-grandchildren, Amanda, Nikole, Hannah and Bailee Ankrom and Madelyn Keys; her sister Wilma Duncan and family - Lynda, Kerry, Shannon and Daron Baxter, Rob, Sharon and Scott Duncan; as well as many other nieces and nephews. Kays life was one of caring for her family. She cared for her mother until her passing, and then spent countless hours caring for her children and grandchildren. Kay was bright, creative and in tune with the times. She became a licensed driver as a grandmother, and she, Doug and Marlene travelled many miles in her Volkswagen Beetle. Although not an avid cook, she was the "family dishwasher" and as a result was the centre of many wonderful visits that were a part of family gatherings. At 89 she travelled by air to her granddaughters wedding in Ottawa. She was always there for anyone who needed a sympathetic ear, and her caring and sense of humour have touched so very many lives. We all have many happy memories of her at the cottages at Gull Lake, Echo Bay and Lac Heney. Deloris was always the centre of her existence, and their recent daily visits were a wonderful celebration for them both. In her adult years, Kay was baptized as one of Jehovahs Witnesses, and had many valued friends in her congregation. A service of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, March 31 in the Jehovahs Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 1877 Inkster at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Central Park Lodge "End of Life Team", care of Central Park Lodge, 70 Poseidon Bay, R3M 3E5, or Jehovahs Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 1877 Inkster, R2R 2A6. We love you Gam "YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE!" KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 582-0973
