ALVEN DRUXERMAN On March 24, 2004 passed away peacefully in Palm Beach, FL. Alven was the beloved husband of Ruth; loving father and father-in-law of Bruce, Harold and Frances, and Peter and Bonnie; dear brother of Jacqueline Shulman; devoted grandfather of Paul and Anjali, Bernie, Sari, Josh, Ellie and Derek, Ronit and Martin, Nancy and Kris, Jordan, Jesse, and Cobi; and great-grandfather of Olivia, Avi-Nash, Reanna, Alex, William, Bella and Patricia. Alven was born on September 17, 1918 in Weyburn, SK. He served his country in the Second World War in the Air Force. He was committed to the Jewish Community in Winnipeg, Toronto and Israel. Together with his dear wife they were the driving force of ORT in Canada for over 40 years. He will be most remembered for the unconditional support and love he gave his children and grandchildren. He revealed in their individual accomplishments and was proud of their achievements. Funeral service will be held at Benjamins Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Ave. West (1 light west of Dufferin), on Sunday, March 28 at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Pardes Shalom Cemetery, Temple Sinai section. Shiva will be in the reception room at 342 Spadina Rd., Toronto.
