JACOB (JACK) MACKLIS On February 17, 2004 at the Sharon Home, our dad passed away. Born October 20, 1904 in Poland, he came to Canada in 1926, married Rebecca (Reva) Sonkin, who predeceased him in 1969. Married Miriam Pfeffer in 1970 and they moved to Rehovoth, Israel in 1972 where they lived for 23 years. Miriam predeceased him in 2002. Survivors include three daughters and their spouses, Lillian and Ike Greenfeld, Sylvia and Frank White, Sybil and Frank Steele as well as nine grandchildren, Lesly and Jack Katz, Debbie and David Lewis, Benjie and Dale Harvey, Gail and Richard Cooper, Lorne White and Ron White, Marcia and Dan Rappaport, Karen Steele and Derreck Roemer and Barbra Steele. Survivors also include 10 great-grandchildren in Winnipeg and Toronto. Funeral services were held at Congregation Etz Chayim, February 19. Pallbearers were Frank Steele, David Lewis, Moishe Lewis, Lorne White, Daniel Pfeffer and Aaron Pfeffer; honorary pallbearers were Ike Greenfeld, Frank White, Jack and Lesly Katz, Debbie Lewis, Dale and Benjie Harvey and Issy Pfeffer.
