EARL DENNIS RECKSIEDLER Earl Dennis Recksiedler, born January 5, 1940, finally succumbed to his struggle with prostate cancer on March 21, 2004 at Steinbach Hospital. Earls loss will be deeply felt by his wife, Ruby; and her two children; his son Greg; his four siblings; and nine grandchildren. Earl was predeceased by his beloved first wife Martha ("Marty") and his parents, Daniel and Elsie. Earl had lived a very full life in his far too short time with us. Earl served his church and community unceasingly. Earls love for family and friends was apparent to all who knew him. Earls visitors in palliative care often exceeded 30 a day and hed tell each one of them that he was feeling "no pain". Earl was such a shining example of courage and strength as he relied on his faith in the Lord. The family wants to thank everyone for their visits and support. Earl touched the heart of everyone he met. For those of you, and there are so many, who will miss him, take comfort that he was set to meet his Maker. He had taken his last communion only a few days before his passing. He was ready to go and now he truly feels "no pain". Funeral service was held Wednesday, March 24 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Steinbach, MB. Donations may be made in Earls memory to Bethesda Palliative Care Fund.
