ROLAND EDMOND LUSSIER 1919 - 2004 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather, Mr. Roland Edmond Lussier. Dad was born March 2, 1919. The eldest son of Edmond and Delphine Lussier. Dad married Mom, Agnes (nee Collette) on October 12, 1946. Dad is survived by our dear mother, and children, Donald, Rene, Noella, Richard, Guy, and Bernard. He is also survived by son-in-law Fernand and daughters-in-law, Marguerite, Dianne, Wendy and Nancy. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Margot, David, Robert, Christine, Danielle, Michelle, Patrick, Paul, Mark, Cory, Tyler, Janelle, Kendra and Kaitlin; and great-grandson Matthieu. Dad is also survived by brothers, Emilien, Leo and sister Edmee. He was predeceased by his three brothers, Aurele, Gilles and Roger. Dad served in the Canadian Army from 1942 to 1946 defending Canadas west coast. Upon his release from the army, Mom and Dad started their family and made their living farming in the Ste. Elizabeth, MB area until retiring from farming for 27 years. In 1973, they moved to St. Pierre where Dad drove a school bus until retirement in 1982. Throughout his life, Dad was active in numerous community affairs. Dad will always be remembered as a loving husband and father who never failed in lending a helping hand to friend or stranger. He was greatly admired and respected by family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Prayers commencing at St. Pierre Catholic Church at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, followed by a Mass of Resurrection at 2:30 p.m. A special thanks to the staff of St.Pierre Hospital and Home Care.
