KONSTANTINE GULAKOW 1920 - 2004 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Konstantine Gulakow on this day March 28, 2004 at St. Boniface Hospital. Konstantine was predeceased by his parents, brother-in-law, niece and daughter-in-law Kathleen. He is survived by his sister Olga and family in Ukraine. Konstantine was born in Kustyn, a small village in the Western Ukraine. He served in the British Eighth Army in the Second World War, then came to Canada in 1946 where he settled in Lorette, MB. He was married to Sophie Konawalchuk for 53 years and had four sons, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, Skylar, Sierra, and Kaedyn. Peter (Nick(Cathy), Jessica, John and Cheryl (Tanya (Kyle), Derek, Joel and Christina), Kenny (Ryan, Matthew), Dave (Yvonne(Adam, Dianne). When he first came to Canada he worked on a private farm for two years. Later to be employed by CNR for thirty years, to retire and spend his time doing yard work and fixing things. Konstantine will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. We would like to send out a special thanks to Joe and Joan Mitosinka as well as the doctors and staff at St. Boniface Hospital (5A Southwing). Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 31 at 10:00 a.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 E. at Navin Rd. Interment to follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
