EVELYN BEATRICE FRYE (nee WILDING) Peacefully after a brief illness, it is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Frye on Monday, March 29, 2004 at the Grace Hospice at the age of 94 years. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Donald; an infant daughter; and brothers, Harold and Stan. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, David (Leslie) and John (Georgie Ann). She also will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Cheryl (Ezio), Alison (Cam), Glen (Leslie), Konrad and Keith; her great-grandsons, Ryan, Kyle and Matthew as well as her special nieces and nephews. Evelyn was born in Bristol, England on February 20, 1910 and arrived in Canada at the age of 3. Ev lived a full and busy life. She especially enjoyed the times she and Don spent in Florida. She took great pride in her home and loved to entertain. Bridge games at Lions Place and St. Pauls Church became an important part of her life. Visits to Angelas were a regular occurrence. The friendships she developed over her long life were special to her. We will all remember her grace, style and amazing enthusiasm for life. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 2 at 11:30 a.m. in the Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with Rev. Gordon Shields officiating. Following a reception at the chapel, a private family interment will follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Grace Hospice or to a charity of choice.
