ARTHUR VANDEL Peacefully, after a lengthy battle with illness, Arthur Joseph Vandel, beloved father and grandfather, passed into the arms of the Lord, on Sunday, March 28, 2004. He will be sadly missed by his sons, Clay (Danielle) and Bart (Cheryl) their mother Faylene Schneider; grandson Matthew; sister Denise Corbett of Vancouver; nephew Rob (Doris) nieces, Pam (Bruce) and Kim; great-nieces and great-nephews, Chad, Jason, Janine, Philip, Jordan and Sean; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Art was predeceased by his mother Lydia Vandel (Pilloud) father Andy Vandel; sister Doris Macey; and numerous aunts and uncles. Arts passion in life was baseball, first as a player, then as a coach. He coached several championship baseball and hockey teams over the years. A private family funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 4 in the Chapel of Memories in Wojciks All Beliefs and Faiths Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Ave. at Sharp Boulevard.
