Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOAO GATA Peacefully on March 31, 2004, Joao passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 77 years. Joao is survived by his wife Maria Dos Anjos; sons, Victor (Leonor) and Joao Paulo of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Tanya and Ashley; sisters, Gloria (Tome), Maria (Joao) and Alda (Humberto) brothers, Jose (Albina), Antonio (Julia) and many nieces and nephews in Winnipeg, Toronto, Mississauga, Oshawa, Laval, QC, Montreal and Portugal. He was predeceased by his parents, Joao and M. Prazeres; sisters, Assuncao, Rosa and Maria de Jesus; and brothers, Manuel and David. Joao was born in S. Miguel Acores and came to Canada on April 2, 1956. He worked for the CN Rail Company. The family would like to thank the staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital and Dr. Reimer for all their care and compassion. Prayers will be said on Friday, April 2 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. with Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros officiating. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
