Date of Passing: Mar 29, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANE LOUISE ODONNELL Peacefully on Monday, March 29, 2004 after a long illness, Jane ODonnell passed away at the age of 65 years. Jane is survived by her son Jason and her aunt Phyllis Youell. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1996. Jane was a proud graduate of St. Johns High School (1956). She graduated from the Provincial Normal School, where she formed many lasting friendships in 1957, and enthusiastically assumed a teaching post at John M. King Elementary School where she taught for several years. Janes independent spirit responded to the lure of travel and her adventures during a work experience in London and a subsequent trip to Russia provided a rich store of memories. She enjoyed an extended DND posting in Germany and while there she and John were married. Laterally in the 1960s during a term in Gimli, she taught at the school in Winnipeg Beach. Friends and family and her other family at St. Bedes will miss her sense of humour, kindness, community commitment and her deft hand in the kitchen. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 6 at The Church of St. Stephen St. Bede, 99 Turner at Mount Royal, with the Rev. Jamie Howison officiating. Flower are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to The Church of St. Stephen St. Bede Memorial Fund or a charity of ones choice. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
