DAVID DENNIS DEARLOVE It is with great sadness we regret to announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, son, father, "Grumpa", and best friend David Dennis Dearlove on Tuesday, March 30, 2004 at the Lake of the Woods District Hospital, Kenora, ON. Born on February 10, 1940 in Winnipeg to Dennis and Elsie Dearlove. He met Marion Robertson and they were married in Winnipeg. In his early years he coached football in Winnipeg. He worked for Westfair Foods for 25 years, Meechim Store in Whitedog for 10 years, Keewatin Place for seven years and Tackle and Target for three years. He loved to travel, fish, classic cars, the outdoors, 1950s and 1960s tunes, the "Keewest Coffee Club", and especially watching his grandchildrens sport activities. A life member of the Kinsmen Club, K-40 Club, on the executive for many years, a member of the Keewatin Curling Club, and a Mason member of the Capital Lodge in Winnipeg since the age of 13 years. He volunteered his time with the Ducks Unlimited, the Heart and Stroke Foundation, canvassing for the United Way and achieved over 100 donations to the blood bank. Predeceased by his sister Joan Dearlove. Dave will be missed by his loving wife Marion of 38 years; his children, Renee and husband David Baker and Allison and fiance Eric Lovas; grandchildren, Zackary David Dearlove, Jordan MacDougall-Lovas, and Emerson Baker; his parents, Dennis and Elsie Dearlove; aunts, Vi Farrow and Mac Phillips and Irene Dearlove. Also survived by his in-laws, Jock and Jennie Robertson; brother-in-law and family, Ian and Donna Robertson and Heather, Bryan and Karyn; sister-in-law and family, Sheila and David Jennings and Julie DAvignon; and many beloved family members and friends. A memorial service to celebrate Daves life will be held on Monday, April 5 at 11:00 a.m. in the Kenora Community Funeral Home, Keewatin, ON.
