WARREN DOUGLAS ELLIS Warren Douglas Ellis passed away March 24, 2004 at East View Lodge, Neepawa at the age of 85. He was born in Eriksdale, MB SE 33-21-6W on June 14, 1918. In April 1928 the family, livestock and machinery boarded a train bound for the Canadian National Railway station at Springhill, MB, where they took up farming on NW 34-15-16 in the R.M. of Rosedale. Warren spent most of his life on this farm. He spent a few years in Winnipeg where he met his wife Rose Frances Martin. They were married May 1, 1948. They raised two children, Douglas and Connie. Warren enjoyed horses, music and his six grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, John Martin and Nina Pearl Ellis; infant brother Norman; brother Ed, Gordon and wife Allison; sister Genevieve Lawrence, husband Johnnie, Kathleen Hansen, husband Glen, Helen Potter, husband Weldon; niece Marion Essele; son Douglas and wife Rose. Warren is survived by his daughter Connie Sumner, husband Elviss; grandchildren, Melinda, Julie and friend Curtis Wutzke, Mark Sumner; daughter-in-law Sheila Ellis and partner Harvey Brooking; grandchildren Devin and fiance Jennifer Lebedynski, Scott and Laura Ellis; sister Nina Forsyth and husband George; sister-in-law Brenda Ellis and Dolly Martin. Interment was at Riverside Cemetery, Neepawa, Saturday, March 27.
