ARCHIBALD JAMES KERR It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Archibald Kerr at Seven Oaks Hospital, with his family by his side, on April 1, 2004 at the age of 81 years. Archie will be lovingly remembered by Norah Kerr (former wife) children, Ron (Louise) Kerr, Alison (Jim) Steele and Elaine (Terry) Hayes; grandchildren, Ryan, Jodi, Mitchell and Alexander. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Elizabeth; and brother George. Born and educated in Scotland, Archie moved to Canada in 1958 to work in the brewing industry, retiring in 1986 as Manager of Operations with Carling OKeefe. He was an avid fisherman, golfer, curler, and always loved to read. In his later years, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Archie was a quiet, intelligent person; his dry humour and wit will be sadly missed. A service of remembrance will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 6 at 2:00 p.m. at Klassen Funeral Chapel, 1897 Henderson Hwy. with Rev. Nancy Sanders officiating. Following the service the gathering of friends will be held at Royal Canadian Legion No. 215, 3600 DeVries (off North Henderson). Thanks to the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for their compassionate care.
