SITA DELSTA SINGH (nee SOOKRAM) Suddenly on Thursday, April 1, 2004, Sita Singh passed away at St. Boniface Hospital. Left to cherish her memory are, husband Larry Lacomy; daughter Susan Morin (nee Singh) grandchildren, Travis and Tamara Morin; brother Tony Sookram (Susan) and sister Myrna Goolcharan (Harry) of Winnipeg. Sisters, Norma Pillai (Lennox), Judy Montanez (Pedro), Dolores Harradan (Winston) all of Trinidad and Cheryl Mohammed of New York. Beloved aunt and great aunt of numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by husband Sonny Singh of Guyana; her parents, Pearl and Norman; and her brothers, Edrich and Seidle all of Trinidad. Born in Trinidad, she immigrated to Winnipeg in 1973. She worked as a payroll supervisor at Nygard International until she retired in 2001. Sita lived her life for those she loved. She was always generous and giving. She enjoyed watching many sports, reading, gardening, collecting dolls, cooking and family gatherings. She loved animals and greatly enjoyed the family pets, Sandy and Mikey. She had a soft heart for all less fortunate than herself. She will be deeply missed and we will have her in our hearts forever. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 8 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sitas memory to the Humane Society, Diabetes Association or a charity of your choice.
