Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOEL LECLAIRE May 29, 1934 - April 3, 2004 Peacefully with his wife Jeanne and all of his children at his side, Joe went on to meet his family and friends who passed before him. Son, Brother, Husband, Dad, Pepere, Great Grandpa and Friend, he will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him. Joe is survived by his children, Johanne (Bill), Maurice (Donna), Richard, Colette (Marc), Sharon (Alan), Jerry (Christine), Patti (Eddy) ten grandchildren, Rheanne (Kelly), Chad (Darlene), Kristian (Kristie), Kyle (Kristy), Patrick, Natalie (Justin), Meghan, Curtis, Tyler and Tia and 4.5 great-grandchildren, Dawson, Colton, Mackenzie, Alexis and ? Joe was born and raised in Ile Des Chenes, MB as the 5th child of eight children. His farm roots brought him on business to Lorette where he met his wife Jeanne. They were married in 1954 and set up their home in the village of Ile Des Chenes where they started to grow their family and earn a living. Joe later went to work for the CNR and then relocated his growing family to St. Vital. In 1974, with some of his children starting to leave home, he decided to get closer to his roots ... he bought acreage on what is now known as Leclaire Rd. and moved his family back to Ile Des Chenes. He proceeded to develop his farm and provided an awesome environment to finish growing his family and to welcome his new and upcoming grandchildren. As much as he loved his family, he was definitely a people person. He enjoyed socializing as well as being a part of the community and helping his friends. He earned his 4th degree in the Knights of Columbus (Goulet Council) as well as serving as Councillor for the Municipality of Ritchot for numerous years. He will be well remembered for his vast repertoire of jokes, which he enjoyed sharing with all those whom he came in contact with. Prayers and Funeral will be held at Paroisse Notre-Dame-de-la-Misericorde, Ile Des Chenes, Manitoba, Fr. Michaud presiding, on Wednesday, April 7. Prayers at 1:30 p.m. Funeral at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held at a later date. "His weary hours and days of pain, his troubled nights are past; and in our aching hearts we know, he has found sweet rest at last." LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
