Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN LYALL MATHERS It is with great shock and sadness that we announce the passing of John Mathers, aged 58, on April 3, 2004. Leaving to cherish his memory are his loving wife Ginette; his daughter Sherri-Lee, grandchildren, Reeve and Oressa; daughter Tannis; son Kyle (Shannon), grandchildren Avery, Tiernan, and Rhianna; son Kurt, granddaughter Taslynn; his brother Ted (Helga) and their daughter Sandra; his nephews, Shawn, Ryan, and his niece Shae-Lynn; family Leo and Stella Arnal, Rheal Arnal, Paulette (Lyle) Neufeld, Danny (Laurie) Arnal, and Marcel "Spike" (Brenda) Arnal, and families. John was predeceased by his father Jimmy and mother Oressa, his brother Richard, and his nephews James, Wayne, and Teddy. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Johns life was defined by his passion for living and his devotion to family. There was nothing he couldnt do or didnt try, from building houses to sailing the world, and he has left his mark on everything he did for all to remember. Public viewing will be held at 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 6, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (4000 Portage Ave). The memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday April 7, at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, with reception afterwards. Flowers welcome or donations can be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, Suite 200 - 6 Donald St., R3L 0K6. Husband, father, grandfather, and above all, friend... John, you will be dearly missed by everyone whose life you have touched. "You are our rock."
