BERTHA WALTERS August 5, 1917 - April 4, 2004 It is with much sadness that the family announce the death of Bertha Walters at Emerson, MB on April 4, 2004. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Evelyn of Toronto, ON, Joan and Don of Winnipeg; her son-in-law Sandy and two grandchildren, Emily and Matthew. Bertha was born in 1917, the only daughter of Gus and Ottilie Schwark. She was predeceased by her husband Ted in October 1996 and brothers, Ted, Bill and Art. Bertha was very active in her community and in her church. Always positive and cheerful, she brought much joy to her many friends and relatives. Donations in her memory may be made to the Friedensthal Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund. A funeral service will be held at the Friedensthal Lutheran Church, Wednesday, April 7 at 2:00 p.m. Wiebe Funeral Home Altona Ltd., in care of arrangements, (204)324-5404.
