HUGH JOHN MACKENZIE It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of Hugh John Mackenzie on Monday, April 5, 2004, at the Grace Hospital at the age of 79 years. He will always be loved and remembered by his wife of 45 years, Berith Mackenzie, only son Ian (Terri), only granddaughter Jami, the love of his life, and many relatives and friends. Hugh was a life member of the Manitoba Shrine, Millennium Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and the Khartum Komedians unit where he was known as "Lollipop". Hughs summers were spent at his favourite spot, the "Seaforth" cottage at Loni Beach in Gimli. Hugh was a very kind and loving person, making friends wherever he went. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 8 at 10:00 a.m. in the Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8 or the charity of their choice.
