Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARY LYNNE THIESSEN (nee ADAMS) November 19, 1950 - April 2, 2004 After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She passed peacefully at home with her family by her side. Left with beautiful memories are her loving husband Dave of 35 years; her children, Jeff (Mindy) and Jodi (Chris) her precious grandchildren, Drake, Brody, Alexandra, Carson, and Finnley. Mary Lynne is also survived by her six siblings, Ray (Ina), Shirley (Forrest), Ron (Jill), Brian (Kathy), Joan (Wendell), Stewart (Barb) as well as many other brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mary Lynne was predeceased by her parents, George and Tory Adams. Mary Lynne was born in Carman and raised in Roland. Following her marriage to Dave, they lived in Carman and Werner Lake, ON, before settling in Balmertown, ON in 1974. She stayed home to raise her children before pursuing part-time work at Cassidys Jewellers and then at Canada Post until her passing. While working at Canada Post she became a very well known and loved member of the community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Mary Lynne and Dave liked to travel, spend time with family and friends, and relax at home with one another. Their relationship was one that several envied. Mary Lynne was a truly extraordinary woman, constantly thinking about all but herself, even through the last days of her illness. She was always there to talk to, to support you, to laugh with you, to cry with you. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. We love you so very much, Mom, and we will be forever grateful to have had you in our lives. Thank you to the nurses and caregivers on the fourth floor of the rehabilitation centre at Health Sciences as well as to Phaedra and the other physiotherapists who worked so hard with her each day. Thank you to all of the medical staff in Red Lake who helped us grant her wish of being at home, and a very special thank you to Diane. You were our rock through this difficult process and words cannot express how thankful we are. A memorial service will take place at the Balmertown Recreation Centre on Tuesday, April 6 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society through the Stevens Funeral Homes "Red Lake Chapel", Box 237, Red Lake, ON P0V 2M0.
