HENRY WEIZEL Peacefully on Sunday, March 28, 2004 surrounded by his family, Henry Weizel, aged 81, passed away at the Crossroads Hospice in Port Moody, BC. Left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Lynn Thomas of Maple Ridge, BC and Joy Hidlebaugh of Winnipeg and son Rob (Alana) Whyzel of Coquitlam, BC; grandchildren, Ksanya, Rachael, Graham, Macarthy and Riley Cruz. He is also survived by his sister Ruth Ruff; sisters-in-law, Sonja Singleton, Zena (Fred) Whitlum, Vi Matwichuk and brothers-in-law, Al (Lil) Matwichuk and John Mathews, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Henry founded Weizel and Associates Ltd. and was still active in the family business. He was a lifelong and founding member of Immanuel (Wesley) United Church in Winnipeg. Henry was a very humble and selfless individual who always put others first. He gave freely of his time and talents to family, friends and wider community. His strength, wisdom and unconditional love will be greatly missed. the family wishes to thank friends and family for their prayers and support and staff of Eagle Ridge Hospital and Crossroads Hospice. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 8 at Immanuel United Church, 855 Golspie Ave. at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Nancy Saunders officiating. If friends desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Memorial Fund of Immanuel United Church.
