IVY M. DAVIS (nee HEIGHTLAND) Ivy passed away peacefully in St. Boniface Hospital on April 3, 2004. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and Brian Julius; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Deb, Bryan, Joe and Robyn Gerrie of Banff, AB, Rob, Mary-Ann and Kim Boutilier, Brent, Terri, Jennifer, Michael, Tracy, Ceildh, Courtney and Ceiran Boutilier of Fairview AB, Rick Julius, Bunny, Kerry and Raina Julius of Banff, AB. Also missing her are nieces, Margaret (Jim) Gudmanson of Calgary, AB, Pat (Fred) Thomas, and Mary-Ellen (Cliff) Schultz of Memphis. Also sister-in-law Cecelia Kavanaugh of Vancouver, and Hilda Davis of Montreal. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Frank; her son Bunny; her great-grandson Christopher; her son-in-law Oran; and her loving daughter Jo. Ivy was born in London, England on January 14, 1906. She came to Canada in 1912. She married Frank on November 30, 1930. After working hard at raising her family, she went back to office work at the Bay, Eatons and the government. She was a member of the Lady Helpers of the Good Shepherd for many years and held most positions on the executive including the presidency. She loved to garden, raised african violets, and, when travelling with Frank, her letters home were always a delight. They had many good trips together, followed by wonderful trips to Florida with Jo and Oran. Her latter years were spent at the Pembina Place personal care home, where she took part in as many activities as her limited eyesight and mobility would allow her to. She always said she would never get better care anywhere else. Much thanks to all the staff and her friends there. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 14 at St. Timothys Church at 135 John Forsyth St., St. Vital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CNIB, P.O. Box 32002 Station BRN B, Toronto, ON, M7Y 5R2. The family wish to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital. May you rest in peace. We will miss our "Feisty" Mum.
