WILLMA "BETTY" CLEAVE Peacefully on Monday, April 5, 2004, Betty Cleave passed away after a vigilant struggle at the age of 93. She is survived by her son Gerry; daughter-in-law Deyannne; and grandchild Janelle; as well as her nieces, Iris Gusberti, Yvonne Johnston, Corrine Anderson; and nephew Donovan Shilson. She was predeceased by her husband Bill; and her brothers, Lorimer and Donovan Shilson. Betty was born in Roland, MB. She married Bill in 1934 and they resided in Carman until 1959. While in Carman, Betty was active in the Red Cross Society and the Order of the Eastern Star. After moving to Winnipeg, she was employed by Morleys Tots to Teens for many years. Family was always important to Betty and getting together for family occasions always made her shine. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchild and cherished their time together. The family wishes to thank the fifth floor staff of Victoria General Hospital for the kindness shown as well as the compassionate care and comfort provided to our mother. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, April 10 at 4:30 p.m. in Garry Memorial Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Interment to follow at a later date in Carman, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victoria General Hospital Foundation, 2340 Pembina Hwy., Winnipeg, MB R3T 2E8.
