RUBY HELEN OROURKE FORRESTER (nee THOMPSON) April 30, 1901 - April 5, 2004 With sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother on April 5, 2004 in her 103rd year. Her memory is cherished by her daughter Norma, son-in-law Wilf, granddaughter Janine, grandsons, David, Marc and Ward and two beloved great-granddaughters, Lauren and Alyssa. Mother was born on April 30, 1901, in Elm Creek, MB, but spent her early years in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. She was predeceased by eight brothers and sisters and her husband Norman ORourke in 1938 whom she married in 1919. In 1963 Mother married William Forrester, and they spent 24 happy years together until his death in 1987. Mom was loving and generous to her family and enjoyed sharing life at the cottage with them. She enjoyed gardening, country walks, going for drives and a hot cup of tea. Life was not always easy, but Mother lived hers with dignity and strength. We will all miss this remarkable lady. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m. in the Garry Memorial Funeral Home. Rubys family wish to thank the staff at Meadowood Personal Care Home for their tender care and constant attention to her needs.
