HELEN MICHALIK Helen Michalik, aged 75 years, beloved wife of the late Alojzy (Alex) Michalik on April 7, 2004 at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, peacefully following a brief illness. Survived by son John (Susan) and grandsons, Alex and Joe of Thunder Bay, ON; niece Danuta (Stan) Pycherek of Toronto, ON. Helen was born in Poland, the second of three sisters, and came to Winnipeg in 1946. She married Alex in 1950 and moved to Snow Lake, MB where they lived for 36 years. In 1983, they returned to Winnipeg for their retirement. Helens family was very important to her, especially her two grandsons who were her pride and joy. She will be sadly missed by all of us. Funeral service Saturday, April 10 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow. A gathering of family and friends will take place in the reception centre. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Helens name to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice.
