CARMELA VASCOTTO 1912 - 2004 With immensely sad hearts we announce the passing away of our dear Mamma and Nonna, Carmela on April 6, 2004 at Riverview Health Centre. Carmela was born in Isola dIstria, Italy on July 15, 1912. She is survived by her husband of 65 years Mario; daughters, Anita (the late Enzo) Buccini and Loredana Buonpensiere; grandchildren, Tony (Carmela) Buccini, Rossana and Cristina Buonpensiere, great-grandchildren, Ariana and Angelica Buccini; and son-in-law Pasquale Buonpensiere. Also mourning her passing are sister Gemma (Trieste, Italy), brother Bruno (Monfalcone, Italy), sister-in-law Maria (Trieste, Italy), and also many nieces and nephews. Carmela faced her illness with incredible courage, a strong heart and even stronger faith. She was a wonderful human being, full of life who took pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she also loved spending time with family and all her close friends with good Italian food and lots of music. She will be sadly missed by all whose lives she touched. To all our friends who provided such tender loving care to our mother, our sincere gratitude, in particular to the doctors, nurses and entire staff of 3East, Riverview Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 14 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave., with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding. Intombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, 3990 Portage Ave. Flowers gratefully accepted and donations may be made to Riverview Health Centre, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4.
