Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFLORENTINE MARIE BERIAULT (nee TRUDEAU) Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Florentine passed away at Villa Youville in Ste. Anne, MB on Wednesday, April 7, 2004. Florentine was born in Ile des Chenes on October 16, 1910 eldest child of Theodore and Marie-Anne (Landry). Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Honore; brothers, Aime, Achille and two infant sons. Florentine is survived by her son Emmanuel (Helen) daughter Eveline; grandchildren, Deborah Ayerst, Jacqueline Lewis (Lance), Matthew Beriault, Mitchell Beriault (Corinne) great-grandchildren, Ashley, Samantha, Nicole, Jasmine, Morgan, Amy; brother Rene Trudeau (Germaine) sister-in-law Honorine Bissonnette; special nieces, Amanda and Savannah; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Florentine was dedicated to the well being of her community and its members. She was always ready to lend a hand and often canvassed for funds or served on various committees. She particularly valued education and wanted the youth to benefit from opportunities that had not been available to her. To that end, Florentine and Honore were 4-H Club leaders for many years. Florentine also established the Franco-Fond Arthur and Phelonise Trudeau Bursary (communications.) Reseau awarded her with Femme DAction 1995 in recognition of her community involvement. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Rene Chartier on Thursday, April 22 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ste. Anne Roman Catholic Church in Ste. Anne, MB. Interment will take place in the Ste. Anne Cemetery immediately following the funeral. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Villa Youville for their care and compassion. A special thanks to Sister Irene Rioux for her loving support and prayers.
