AGNES DELORME LAMIRANDE March 4, 1946 - April 7, 2004 Agnes was born on March 4, 1946 in Altona, MB. She died peacefully in her home on April 7, 2004. Youngest daughter of Euclide and Julia Delorme, she leaves to mourn her husband Leo Lamirande of 26 years; two daughters, Chantal Delorme (Jeff), Leanne Muir (Robert) and two grandsons, Brendyn and Lucas who she loved very much. She also leaves brothers, Leonide (Rachel), Henry, Jean-Noel (Jean) and Robert (Paulette) sisters, Jeanne Beaudry (Henry), Berthe (Andre), Irene Gregoire (Remi), Armande, Evelyne Carriere (Paul), Lorraine (Ubald), Eva Peloquin (Fred) and Alice; many cherished nieces and nephews, countless friends and a very special aunt Marie Beaudette; brothers-in-law, Doug, Paul, Jim, Ross (Lynn), Edward (Leona) and Gordon; sisters-in-law, Val (Russ), Josie, Theresa (Marcel), Jeanette (Alphonse), Pauline (Denis), Stella, Alida (Eugene) and Diane (Gary) many nieces and nephews. Agnes was predeceased by four brothers, Leonard, Ulysse, Rene and Clovis; also by her parents, Euclide Delorme and Julia Parent. Agnes did her schooling with the Sisters of St. Benedict. She worked many years for Transport Canada as a clerk in the personnel office. She raised money for cancer research at St. Boniface Hospital for many years by participating in the walk-a-thon. For her it was a "wheelathon" and always participated with Eva, wheeling 12 miles. On the third year, some of the family joined in and over three years, she had raised $10,000.00 for cancer research. Although Agnes spent most of her life in a wheelchair, she always had a smile on her face and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was determined and full of spirit. In 1983 she moved to Riverside Lions Estate keeping busy with different hobbies... knitting, crocheting, needle point, petitpoint, ceramics, porcelain dolls, paper toll, etc. She was a giving person and lived for her family. Prayers will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13 at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons St. Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14 at St. Timothys Roman Catholic Church, 135 John Forsyth Rd., Winnipeg, R2N 1R3. Interment to follow at St. Vital Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, PO Box 12013, Stn BRM B, Toronto, ON M7Y 2L3 or the St. Boniface Hospital - Cancer Research, 409 Tache Ave. - Rm.
