KEN MCRAE With deep sorrow we announce the passing of Ken on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at the Grace General Hospital. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Thelma, of 38 years of marriage; daughters, Tara (Andy) and Deidra; sister Irene and brother Albert (Paulette) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Ken was predeceased by his parents James and Grace, sister Joyce and brother Jim. Ken was born and raised in the Piney area. He settled in Winnipeg and after various jobs he became a heavy equipment operator and truck driver. His happiest working years were when he owned his own gravel truck. He was a quiet, private man whose greatest joy was his daughters. Ken was happiest fixing everything fixable, working on his automobiles and doing home maintenance. He was always busy and found these last few years difficult due to his failing health. But he did put up a valiant battle. On Friday, April 16 at 11:00 a.m., Kens funeral service will be held in the Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Ave. (corner of Mount Royal & Ness). Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. Our family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the Grace General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kens memory to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
