Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLYUBA MARIE MORRISON (nee WALUK) February 6, 1933 - April 7, 2004 It was with sorrow and sadness in our hearts, that we announce the passing of one who had great courage and strength, and never in her life gave up, Lyuba Marie Morrison. On April 7, 2004 Mom decided it was time to travel down a different road. She was predeceased by both parents, Anna and William Waluk, and after 40 years of marriage, her Husband Allan. Left to cherish her love and many other gifts she taught us about life, her children, Kim (Reg), Kirby (Sherri) grandchildren, Murray, PJ (Kristy), Melissa, Dylan, Cassidy, Lita and 2nd daughter Wendy (Anthony). Mom was an old Elmwood girl who had a zest for life, which is why after 25 years of working at the Child Guidance, Winnipeg School Division #1. She was always helping out at #9 Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Fringe, childrens and jazz festival and River Elm School. For her, "Everyday was a school day". There was nothing she wouldnt do for you. No matter how big or small, giving to others was her pleasure in life. The words "no, I cant, or Im too busy" never existed for her. She had a passion for life and for people, in her heart, and her spirit, and it passed on to everyone she met. Her tamed down passion was her Beanie Babies and her unique collections of roosters, which would explain her early morning walks in the city, and her second fun filled home (Grand Beach). Thanks for all the wonderful memories out there. Blessed are the people who knew Lyuba, for they know love and laughter. Her generosity, kindness and loving spirit will always be with them. In keeping with moms wishes there will be no memorial service in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the ALS Society, or charity of choice. The family would like to say a special thank you to Elke, Nancy, Gloria, Eleanoe, Lenka and the staff from 6 A and 8th floor (palliative) at St. Boniface Hospital. And a very special thank you to Mary, Denise, Tom Chan and all the family and friends for visits at home and the hospital, and your kindness and prayers. In life - You learnt a lot, but always taught more. You received a lot, but always gave more. Were loved a lot, but always loved more. I am sorry for your loss. My mom, Lorna Christine Johannson went to school with Lyuba Waluk. I found a letter dated 1989 in my moms affects from Mona (Mika) Klayh inviting my mom to the 40th High school reunion. In the letter it listed all the people Mona knew were coming. In the list was Lyuba. My mom talked about high school friends, and one of them was Lyuba. I have a picture of them together, but there is no link to up load it. My mom passed away in her sleep on September 10, 2018. She was 85. - Posted by: Lawrence McPhee (My Mom, Christine Johannson went to High School with Luba.) on: Oct 17, 2018
