ANDRE COURCELLES Peacefully, on Thursday, April 8, 2004, Andre Courcelles passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 68 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Anita "Ma Cherie" (nee Desrosiers), his children, Paulette, Robert (Stephanie), Doris (Allan) Penner, Louis (Theresa), Elaine (Ken) Hassan; and daughter-in-law Linda Boily (Mario). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Valerie, Louis, Danielle, Monique, Megan, Brett, Colleen (Wayne), Samantha (Robin), Kevin, Janelle, Tia, Tommy and Veronica; and great-grandchild Monica; his three brothers, Jean-Baptiste, Paul and Henri; his three sisters, Therese Berthelette, Marie-Ange Gagnon and Agathe Courcelles. Andre was predeceased by his first wife Lorette, his son Richard, his parents, Wilfrid and Delphine; his brother Adelard; and his sister Yvonne Courcelles. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at the Health Sciences Centre who cared for Andre and made his last days comfortable and dignified. Thank you also to Andres family physician, Dr. M. Duerksen of Steinbach and to Fr. Ron Leger for always being there for him. Dad, you will always be remembered and loved as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. You were a very caring and compassionate man who was always there to lend us a helping hand. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Ron Leger at the Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St. in St. Boniface on Tuesday, April 13 at 2:00 p.m. Viewing will begin one-half hour prior to the mass at 1:30 p.m. Interment will take place in the St. Malo parish cemetery in St. Malo, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Andres memory to the Canadian Liver Foundation (Manitoba Chapter), P.O. Box 1943, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3R2 or to a charity of ones choice.
